Is this your first time using the comment editor?
This guide will show you how to use it so you can leave professional evaluations.
The most important thing to remember is that the person who the comment is directed towards will see what you send immediately, so please be careful before you leave a comment.
All feedback should be constructive and geared towards helping the person improve. The more detailed your feedback is, the higher the chance that you will receive a ‘
like’. If your comment gets a ‘
like’ recommendation from the test-taker, you may earn up to +500 coins. (Unnecessarily harsh criticism, obscenities etc. will get an immediate account suspension.)

02. How to use the different panels
Once you open the editor, the left panel, A, is the original version, the right panel, B, is the translated version.
① Translation box
You can scroll and see the test-taker’s translation.
② Adding feedback
While inspecting the translation, if you find an error, click the ‘Add feedback’ button.
A window will pop up as shown below.
(Click the left triangle) Add a comment/ choose the error type
① Choose the error type (mandatory)
In your comment, the error type must be chosen (you may choose more than one.)
•
Typo: spelling or typing error
•
Mistranslation: incorrectly translated (the meaning or nuance from the original version has been changed)
•
Grammar: grammar error (incorrect punctuation, verb conjugation etc.)
•
Et cetera: Anything that could be improved but is not an outright mistranslation can be put here (too direct of a translation, awkward phrasing, tone could improved etc.)

Line alignment (newline): line adjustment to improve readability
•
Discrepancy from the original: speech bubbles, sound effects, missing translations, repeated text boxes etc.
•
Translation guide not followed: punctuation / text formatting (italics, bold etc.) / numbering formatting / footnote formatting error etc.
•
Translation setting guide not followed: names, nicknames, way of speaking, specific terms etc. not followed as specified in the setting guide of the work.
② Write feedback (your choice)

Please be as detailed and unambiguous as possible in your comments. If further explanation is not necessary, you may just choose the type of error.
③ Evaluation item level
High/mid/low can be chosen for each item for evaluation from the drop-down.
You can see the evaluation criteria by hovering over the ‘?’.
④ Submitted comment
A submitted comment will be able to be read by all community members. Please refrain from using profanity and unspecific general criticism.
(Test-takers can click see all comment to view the error types, detailed comments, and evaluation item levels left by other users.
